Imagine, a stunning new livery for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines specifically designed for its fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft, showcasing a fresh and contemporary take on the airline’s iconic blue. The design marks a departure from the traditional scheme, opting for a more streamlined and optimistic aesthetic.

Gone is the familiar dark blue line that previously separated the upper and lower fuselage. In its place, the entire upper part of the aircraft is bathed in a vibrant, cerulean blue, symbolizing the vast expanse of the sky and the boundless possibilities of travel. This singular color choice creates a sense of unity and cohesiveness, emphasizing the sleek lines and modern design of the Airbus A350.

The iconic KLM crown, a symbol of Dutch heritage and national pride, remains prominently displayed on the tailfin. However, it receives a subtle yet impactful update, rendered in a lighter shade of blue that complements the overall color scheme. This change reflects a commitment to both tradition and innovation, showcasing the airline’s evolution while remaining true to its roots.

The new livery, if chosen, should represent a step forward for KLM. The design embodies KLM’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the future of travel. The Airbus A350, with its fuel efficiency and advanced technology, perfectly aligns with these values, making it the ideal platform for this exciting new design.”

The upcoling blue is expected to resonate with both seasoned travelers and new generations, reflecting a sense of optimism , simplicity and a commitment to a brighter future. This fresh take on the KLM brand identity is sure to turn heads on airport tarmacs and in the skies above, solidifying the airline’s position as a leader in innovation and style.

The previous livery of KLM was a shift from straight lines to a bent Quirky almost cartoonish line which made the airplanes less technical and more like a caracter design which could also be seen in the cartoons for the Children. The Livery’s that are presented in this article are not offical livery’s but made with the best intenstions.

Other Livery’s that where part of the design study are shown here but where “disqualified” for not following the design language from KLM.
